Apiiz is a digital platform designed to revolutionize the world of outdoor advertising by connecting billboard companies and businesses in one streamlined marketplace.
The goal was to simplify the process of buying and selling ad spaces through an intuitive, transparent, and modern interface that reflects innovation, accessibility, and trust.

The Challenge :

Traditional billboard advertising is fragmented and inefficient.
Advertisers struggle to find available spaces quickly, pricing is inconsistent, and much of the process still relies on manual communication.
Our challenge was to digitize this outdated system and build a platform that bridges advertisers and signage companies in a seamless, data-driven way.

The Solution :

We created a user-friendly marketplace that enables signage companies to list their billboards and manage campaigns efficiently, while allowing advertisers to search, filter, and purchase ad spaces instantly.
The platform focuses on simplicity, clarity, and smart automation — helping users save time, cut costs, and maximize visibility.

Main Features :

Smart Upload Flow: A simple step-by-step process for uploading billboards with progress tracking.

  • Flexible Pricing Tools: Sellers can set smart pricing ranges, discounts, and promotions.

  • Interactive Maps: Buyers can explore billboard locations visually and compare exposure data.

  • Transparent Communication: Built-in messaging for direct coordination between buyers and sellers.

  • Intuitive Dashboard: Manage listings, performance, and transactions from one central hub.

Billboard Upload Flow :

This flow illustrates the seller’s journey within the Apiiz platform — from uploading a billboard to publishing it for advertisers.
The process was designed to be intuitive, guiding users step-by-step through each stage: selecting upload type, defining billboard details, setting pricing, and finalizing publication.

The main goal was to create a smooth and accessible experience for outdoor advertising companies, allowing them to manage their billboard inventory efficiently while maintaining flexibility and full control.

Research & Market Analysis :

We began the project with in-depth research to understand the outdoor advertising industry and the challenges it faces. Through market analysis and qualitative interviews, we identified the three main players in the ecosystem: businesses seeking advertising, companies offering billboard spaces, and agencies serving as intermediaries.

Our research revealed key disparities between small and large advertisers, such as location preferences, campaign duration, pricing, and sign formats. We also examined competitors and existing platforms, which helped us define opportunities for differentiation.

This stage provided valuable insights into user needs and industry pain points, laying the foundation for designing a platform that addresses real market gaps while remaining accessible and scalable.

Home Page — The Core Hub :

It provides quick access to search, filter, and explore available billboards, while offering an intuitive flow for publishing new ones. Designed as the platform’s “home,” it brings together all key actions — discovery, management, and promotion — into a seamless, user-friendly experience that anchors the entire system.

Color & Typography :

The design language combines clarity with a youthful, energetic edge.
Primary colors include magenta and a pink-orange gradient, reflecting Apiiz’s core values of innovation, efficiency, reliability, and accessibility.
Orange symbolizes optimism and trust, pink adds softness and approachability, and the gradient highlights key user moments like uploading or completing a campaign.
Typography is based on the Libre Franklin font, chosen for its modern, clean, and professional character.

Design System :

A unified design system was built to ensure visual consistency and scalability across the platform.
It defines clear color usage, typography hierarchy, and component behavior — creating a seamless experience that balances functionality with visual appeal.

Logo Concept :

The Apiiz logo draws inspiration from Greek mythology, where Apis symbolizes a bridge between worlds — just as the platform connects billboard owners and advertisers.
The horn-shaped icon represents the bull associated with Apis, while the double “i” expresses duality — linking sellers and buyers.
The final “Z” adds a sense of energy and buzz, reflecting the dynamic nature of advertising.
Together, these elements embody creativity, connection, and innovation at the heart of Apiiz.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship :

This project was created as part of a large, multidisciplinary team that included product designers, developers, product managers, and QA specialists.
Working closely together allowed us to simulate a real startup environment — where communication, iteration, and collaboration are key to success.

Throughout the process, we were guided by leading industry experts:
Nitzan Avituv (UXpert), Nadav Hutzler (Yad2), Ori Ben Yishay (Fiverr), Uri Lifshitz (Optare & Product Experts), and Roni Lorentz (Vorlon).
Their mentorship helped us refine our design thinking, improve our product strategy, and elevate the overall user experience.
